What are the best 100 watt stereo receivers and best record players (turntables) I could buy?

Question: I am looking for a full 100 watts stereo receiver. I have a whole bunch of documents. I bought a cheapo Crosley duplicate all-in-one out of the turntable-the-box $ 125. Sounds terrible. I am now looking for a sever platinum and receiver of high quality.

I bought the Sony stereo receiver STR-DH100 from Amazon to replace an old receiver that only had one entry port formerly working. I read a lot of criticism (most of which were papal) and loved spending so I thought to try. What a booboo! This receiver sounds hideous! As mentioned in several reviews, the lower part is very decrepit - very on edge, not towards or full. The soil is very "tin-y" sound. Everything included, just lack of fullness and tenderness in.
