PANACA — Many students at Lincoln County On a trip School were selected as winners in a national poetry contest recently, having their poems chosen for hand-out in a book from Creative Communications.
Sherrin McHenry, LCHS English, Journalism and Humanities cicerone, received a letter from Creative Communications emphasizing the fact that “only the crush poems are selected for this honor: This is not a contest where every entry is selected for broadsheet.”
LCHS also received Creative Communications’ Writing Achievement Assign, given to schools whose students’ entries were of exceptionally lavish merit.
The poems could be written on any subject and were chosen from thousands of poems across the West.
