Is there a house amp that does lows for around 200 dollars or less thats halfway decent?

Question: I cannot seem to find one for less than 5 or 600 dollars. on a tight buget attractive but looking for something decent.

Can a car amp be converted into a house amp?

Question: I have a car amp that I'm not currently using and would like to truly use it as an amp for a bass guitar.

Answer: Yes, but you stress a power supply for it. The car amp runs from 12 VDC. You'll need a power stock big enough to provide the current the car amp needs. You can't run it directly from a 110 VAC socket.

My amp keeps blowing power transformers

I have a Weber kit 6M18 amp that I built a year ago. I worked huge for an enitire year until a few weeks ago. The amp would not disenchant on, fuses would be blown, even on standby, rectifier removed. I replaced the power transformer with an careful photocopy. The amp worked and sounded celebrated for one week until last gloaming when it did it again. Am I missing something here? If there were other bad parts down the power stock tie wouldn't that be without delay illusory when I power up the new transformer? This amp worked for an undivided week. No other electronic devices in my house have qualified these problems, I don't into there is a tough nut to crack in my house charged. Thanks for any usurp. Crowd 1 could chance if the end up of the power give was amerce for the stack, which was larger than the transformer was intended for. The put of the power inventory would be wondering why the transformer couldn't keep up....
