In a typical music hall, which side should I sit in to get the best sound out of a piano concert?
Question: Usually the grand piano is positioned on the stage with his nearest his right () to the public. I'm curious which side should get the best sound: left (the essence of the audience view), center or right (I doubt is the right one)?
Answer: In most rooms, the sound is overwhelming to the center - measured both from right to left and front to back.
The lid of the piano acts as a surface of thunder. If closed, it dampens the noise.
