We schreven eerder al over de exhilarated-end show bij Klinkt Beter, het weekend van 17 en 18 december. Die show valt samen met de introductie van de Velodyne Digital Press 18 Plus, nu deze als eerste in België de demoruimte van Klinkt Beter bereikt.

In alle prijsklasses van het instapsegment tot en met de authoritative wereldtop (digital drive plus), heeft Klinkt Beter wel een subwoofer in huis die onmiddelijk demonstratieklaar is, zowel in stereo als in home base cinema. In het topsegment kan de eigenzinnige winkel voortaan de nieuwe Digital Spin Plus met 18 inch driver permanent demonstreren: de DD18+.

Na jarenlange ervaring met de voormalige DD18 kon de opvolger DD18+ natuurlijk niet uitblijven. De DD+ is eerste microprocessor- en servo-gecontroleerde, volledig digitale subwoofer met gepatenteerd Auto-EQ+ dwelling eq systeem waarbij de inregeling voortaan ook via USB kan. Bij de voormalige DD reeks was een inregeling via een TV scherm noodzakelijk. Dit kan nu voortaan ook via een laptop of PC waarbij de meer dan 40 parameters via een applicatie toegankelijk zijn.

Velodyne VX-11 has done a consequential job wadding a heavy, irregularly shaped scope with a full and loaded bass retort. I had some doubts whether this section could treat my needs, but they were erased as in a wink as I turned on my Denon and listened to some of my favorite music.
