The new icon-based consumer interface allows users to control security system keypad functions and video viewing on BlackBerry devices with the newspaperwomen of a finger. They can view live video, record and store video clips, take snapshots or have video clips or pictures emailed to them upon an outstanding event, such as a delivery taking place or a child arriving home from faction. The app replicates a physical keypad, letting users arm, disarm and damp their systems, bypass doors and control lights and garage doors.
End-users can also make alerts if motion is detected in designated indoor or outdoor areas, in and around their home or responsibility, if valuable objects have been moved or if extreme temperature changes have been detected when combined with Honeywell’s motion detectors, anti-shoplifting and environmental sensors.
