Two women were charged with beat up after an incident at the Legends Bar on Mulberry Street. In a report released Tuesday, officers said Joanne Anderson reported that, when she entered the restroom, Jody Kireta, 44, First Avenue, and her sister, Julia L. Smith, 42, Chester Avenue, in use accustomed to a curtain rod to assault her in an unprovoked assault. Kireta and Smith told control afterward that Anderson came in and challenged Smith, trying to strain attract her from the toilet. Anderson had visible injuries, according to reports.
Deidra N. Bostick, 21, Wyoming Avenue, was charged with terrorist mischief and disorderly conduct Sunday morning after officers responded to the Pope Circle home of Jackie Riley, who reported someone breaking into her home. Officers arrived to find Bostick shouting profanities and challenging Riley through a window. Bostick told officers Riley had been texting her and making threats. Riley showed officers two window screens that had been ripped from their frames.
Robert Woomer, South Surry Course, reported a withdrawal made from his bank account by a business from which he had made a purchase some opportunity ago but which has already been paid.
