Warren Zevon wrote a melody some time ago.
Called 'Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me'. Linda Rondstadt had a hit with it. Seems appropo for a back euphony to this fine whine.
Lucas, one of the great creative forces of our all at once, has isolated himslef in the comfortable cocoon of Marin County where he fiddles with his pet projects, namely reliving the 'Superstar Wars' stuff that infuriates everyone, and watching both THX and ILM start the sluggardly descent into irrelevance. Big money and comfortable lifestyles can take the edge off of one, and Lucas- SO energetic in 'American Graffitti', 'Apocalypse Now', and the 'Raiders' franchise- is now reduced to making steady Han Solo doesn't kill Gredo in cold blood.
That said, 'Red Tails' looks to be a unalloyed entertainment and he has backed an all black cast and production team with what is essentially a BIG pro-US 'oohrah' story the left loves to hate. He should talk more about this, and WHY it should be a hit.
