Solvay, NY – Oversee from several departments are looking for a man driving a black Saturn they suspect is making his living by poaching portable DVDs, satellite radios and GPS units from cars.
“The gentleman is very gutsy,” said Solvay Supervise Officer James DiFulio.
Several area police departments have watch footage of the man they suspect is stealing portable electronic devices from cars, the officer said.
He was caught on observation tape on March 5 taking two portable DVD players from an unlocked 2010 Lincoln MKZ in the parking lot of Geddes Federal Savings and Loan behind Westvale Plaza in Solvay.
Watch tape shows a black Saturn with the missing left front hubcap driving up and down the lanes of Westvale Plaza.
It stops by many cars and a man gets out. He checks out the car interiors before moving on to another target.
At about 11 a.m., the have a feeling finds a bank employee’s unlocked Lincoln. He parks his agency next to the Lincoln and walks to bank’s front door. But he didn't record the bank.
