Question about Altec Lansing Orbit USB Laptop Speakers in relation to the iPod?

Question: I was in the light of buying the Altec Lansing Orbit USB Laptop Speakers, which I know bridle no headphone jack- they only can be plugged into a usb.

Answer: Are you accepted to use the Orbit just with your iPod, or with your laptop sometimes, too? As this version of the Orbit requires 5 volts from a usb appropriateness, using it with an iPod would be difficult.
