Will new Sony bookshelf speakers work with my 6 year old Stereo system?

Question: I fair-minded ordered Sony SB-1000 bookshelf speakers for my LCD TV. Before I go out and buy a receiver to hook them up to, I was wondering if they would toil with my old stereo system... it is about a 8 year old Aiwa 3 disc changer system - 120 watts.


Answer: Don't see why not. A irritable look at the specs suggests they will work fine. They are meant to be piercing, but should do ok for a small room at moderate levels.

could i connect my zune or ipod on any sony Bookshelf Speakers?

Answer: You could, but you won't get very much look out of them. You need to go through an amp first if you want any sort of usable level out of the speakers. Unless they are 'self-powered' speakers to inaugurate with, in which case the amps are built in to them already.
